LifeUp is something a little bit different. Most of the apps on this gamify app list have fantasy elements. Fantasy elements are fun, but they can turn away people who want to play such a game but don't want the whole Dungeons & Dragons vibe. LifeUp is for those people. You do tasks, level up, and get your habits in order. The app features the usual stuff like reminders, repeat tasks, and a task completion history. However, it wraps up everything in a simple Material Design UI that looks like a normal app. You can use your XP to gain strength in the app and doing tasks also earns you collectibles for your shelves.

I prefer this app over others for creating achievements quickly. It allows for easy customisation by copying and pasting similar achievements. Unsure about backup support for custom images and sounds. I got a quick response from the developer when inquiring about custom sounds, which was a pleasant surprise. I recommend adding only a few habits to get used to the app. I don't miss Habitica features like an avatar or equipment. That stuff just distracted me from what I wanted to get done.

After trying each of these apps that I know of, this one far and away tops them all. The level of customization never seems to end, to the point where trying to list your options here would be a wasted effort. Doesn't chew through your battery, either, like some other ones can end up doing. Absolutely worth paying for, imo.

I've tried all sorts of productivity apps but this is the only one I have stuck with. I love how everything is so transparent - if it's in dev, they'll tell you. If there isn't a capability for something, that's up front as well. The app is so well thought out. It takes time to configure everything too which is great as you're already bought in during set up. I think it's brilliant.

I think this app is good not just for gamers but for people who would benefit from simply having a visual representation of their skills. Progress is mostly reflected by the work we produce or the accolades we receive internally, this can be a really good way of keeping oneself on track for various skills that improve mostly through practice like Art and even Math.
